A celebration for Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little
University of Kansas students, faculty, staff and the Lawrence community are invited to a celebration of Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little on May 4 at the Lied Center.
The 7 p.m. concert will feature Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and soul music legend Booker T. Jones. The concert is free to the KU community and tickets are required.
“Chancellor Gray-Little has overseen a transformation of the University of Kansas and guided the institution to unprecedented successes in her eight years here,” said Tim Caboni, vice chancellor for public affairs. “This event will be an opportunity to celebrate her achievements and thank her for her leadership. We invite the entire KU community to join us for some incredible live music, and a chance to wish Chancellor Gray-Little the best as she begins the next chapter in her life and career.”
In September 2016, Chancellor Gray-Little announced she would step down in summer 2017. “It has been an honor to lead the University of Kansas,” Chancellor Gray-Little said at the time of her announcement. “Leading this remarkable institution is a privilege I always will cherish, and I’m grateful to the entire KU community for believing in our mission.”
Up to four tickets may be obtained with a valid ID. All tickets are for reserved seats in the Lied Center.
