A true aristocrat of the keyboard

The distinguished American pianist Jon Nakamatsu, the most recent American to win the Gold Medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, is known internationally for the panache and elegance of his performances and has become a favorite with audiences throughout the world. As a prolific recording artist, Nakamatsu has set to disc numerous seminal performances. In its review of Nakamatsu’s performance, The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle writes, “Nakamatsu evinced brilliant musicianship. His tone and articulation sparkled and shimmered, while his use of dynamics and energy brought out the lifeblood of each and every phrase.”
