The Lied Center Student Association (LCSA) is organization at the University of Kansas that is affiliated with the Lied Center of Kansas. It is comprised of students from various backgrounds that share a passion for the performing arts.
The group meets twice a month during fall and spring semesters to plan student events in conjunction with Lied Center Presents performances. LCSA works closely with Lied Center staff members to strengthen the relationship between the center and the KU student body. Members of LCSA volunteer for special events and marketing efforts to help promote shows.
The Lied Center Student Association is open to any student currently enrolled at the University of Kansas regardless of class level, major or special interest.
To join, interested students need to attend a meeting. Meetings take place every other Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Lied Center Conference Room. Membership is voluntary and there are no membership fees.
Members truly get out what of it they put in.
The mission of LCSA is to promote exploration of the performing arts among KU students by raising awareness of the Lied Center of Kansas and the shows it presents. The group accomplishes this by establishing relationships with other organizations on campus and creating an environment welcoming to all students.
