United States Air Force Academy Band: The Falconaires

The United States Air Force Academy Band’s jazz ensemble, The Falconaires, from Colorado Springs will perform a free concert at the Lied Center of Kansas! The professional Airmen-musicians in The Falconaires follow a long blue line of talented Air Force Academy bandsmen, dedicated to serving our great nation. They represent the young men and women at the academy training to be officers of character who will lead our Air Force. The versatility and professionalism of this unique ensemble reflects the great diversity and ingenuity that makes our Air Force the greatest air, space and cyberspace force the world has ever known. A driving force in the jazz world, The Falconaires play a major role in cultivating our national heritage through America’s only indigenous music genre—jazz!

Under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Daniel L. Price, the United States Air Force Academy Band proudly represents the Air Force Academy and its mission to educate, train and inspire men and women to become officers of character motivated to lead the Air Force in service to our nation. For more than 60 years, the United States Air Force Academy Band has used the power of music to honor our nation’s heroes, inspire Air Force personnel and the nation they serve, produce innovative musical programs and communicate Air Force excellence to millions around the world. The Falconaires support the Academy Band’s mission to advance the Air Force Academy and the Global Air Force Missions by providing professional music services for official military, recruiting and community events worldwide.

Tickets available starting Monday, July 15.

Limit 4 free tickets per person.

Available in-person ONLY at the Lied Center Ticket Office.

Reserved seating for best seat(s) available will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.


PLEASE NOTE: Free tickets for this performance expire at 6:45 pm on the day of the concert. Ticket holders MUST be in their reserved seats by 6:45 pm. Once tickets expire, late-arriving ticket holders will be required to enter the standby line at the ticket office. Unclaimed seats will be filled by people in the standby line, in line order, until all seats have been filled.
