Join virtuoso jazz pianist and Lied Center favorite Emmet Cohen for a conversation about how he has created an incredible sense of community through his Monday evening pandemic performance series, “Live From Emmet’s Place.” Tens of thousands worldwide join him every Monday evening for joyful and uplifting jazz. There is no doubt that these concerts have helped countless music lovers find happiness during these challenging times.
Cohen is a multifaceted American jazz pianist and composer, who has emerged as one of his generation’s pivotal figures in music. Possessing a fluid technique, an innovative tonal palette and an extensive repertoire, he plays with the command of a seasoned veteran and the passion of an artist fully devoted to his medium.
The Lied Center is excited to partner with Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to present a safe and accessible Performance and Lecture Series for Osher participants and other community members. This collaboration aims to provide free access to quality, engaging performing arts experiences and education from the comfort and safety of participants’ homes, during times of social distancing.
