Virtual talk and performance
FlamenKcmo, comprised of Melinda Hedgecorth, dance, Beau Bledsoe, guitar, and Antonio Rojas, voice, present an evening of traditional and cutting-edge flamenco. This moving musical form was born in the south of Spain and Sevilla, one of Kansas City’s sister cities, which is one of the most celebrated flamenco centers. They will discuss their vision of a cultural exchange between the two cities and what brought them together to perform this highly expressive and rhythmic art form.
The Lied Center is excited to partner with Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to present a safe and accessible Performance and Lecture Series for Osher participants and other community members. This collaboration aims to provide free access to quality, engaging performing arts experiences and education from the comfort and safety of participants’ homes, during times of social distancing.
