Originally from Dallas, TX, Kelly has lived in Lawrence for 10 years since attending the University of Kansas. In 2019, they graduated from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, earning a BA with an emphasis in creative writing.
Additionally, this is not Kelly’s first rodeo at the Lied Center. As a student, he served as Front of House Manager as well as Operations Assistant (2017-2019). Kelly is ecstatic for his homecoming to the Lied in a professional capacity.
From 2019-2025, Kelly served as the Lead Graphic Designer for the Kansas Department for Children and Families where he made a significant impact on the agency’s overall brand and public perception thanks to his creative expertise in brand development and strategic communication.
Kelly’s passion for creativity drives them to learn new skills and expand their creative repertoire wherever possible. As an internally motivated individual, many of Kelly’s creative skills are self-taught.
Kelly joined the Lied Center as graphic designer in 2025.
