Kim Spencer began her career at the Lied Center in 2004 as a student employee in the ticket office and quickly discovered her passion for the organization. After graduating from the University of Kansas in 2007, she accepted a full-time position in 2008 and has been a dedicated member of the team ever since—second only to Brad in years of service.
Beyond her work at the Lied Center, Kim has contributed her time and leadership to the community and the University. She has served as a board member for Stepping Stones Early Childhood Education and as a representative on both Staff Senate and University Senate at KU. During her tenure as Chair of the Professional Development Committee, she played a key role in improving the fund request process, ensuring greater accessibility and equity for applicants.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and son and continues to master the art of balancing family life with the pursuit of rest.
