2019–20 Lied Across Kansas Artist—Jazzy Ash

November 12–15, 2019

Each season, the Lied Center takes the show on the road to provide free performing arts experiences to other communities in Kansas, like Sabetha, Salina, Russell and Hays. Students, educators and community members in these areas experience the arts in an enhanced way through workshops, performances and conversations with world-class artists.

This season, the Lied Across Kansas artist is Jazzy Ash, a celebrated children’s songwriter and music educator. Inspired by her New Orleans roots and early jazz music, Ash performs fun-filled and educational concerts for kids and adults, teaching audiences about New Orleans music and culture.

The Lied Center of Kansas serves as a catalyst for the arts, creativity, engagement and community building for the University of Kansas and the greater community. The Lied Center presents a series of diverse, world-class performing arts and engages communities with performing arts experiences and opportunities.
